Deanna Marie Hansen , 87, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 in Fresno, CA. She was born to Floyd and Margaret Pabst Atkinson in Lompoc, CA and later moved to the San Jose, CA area and attended local schools. Soon after graduation she married her sweetheart Alvin F. Hansen on June 7, 1957 and she was off on a new adventure as a wife to an Airman in the US Air Force. The following year she would bring her beloved son Douglas into this world and their family would be complete. After Doug had completed a number of years of schooling Deanna entered the work force for Pacific Bell in various position and finished her employment as a Supervisor after 19 years of service. Alvin`s job was relocated in 1980, and as a result, forty five years ago they moved from San Jose, CA to Madera, CA when FMC opened its plant and she continued her PacBell phone service.

Deanna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wherever she lived and was still active attending church in the Madera First Ward. She served in various positions in the Ward and Fresno California West Stake in Relief Society.

She is preceded by her Parents, two sisters, Dolly Eidschun and Sandy Perks.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alvin F. Hansen of Madera, CA;  Son, Douglas S. Hansen and his wife Chia of Saitama, Japan;   Brother, Ron Atkinson of San Juan Capistrano, CA;  Grandsons, Sean Eric Hansen and Jonathan Hansen.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10:00 am at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera CA.
